Do you eat without noticing?

If you eat alone you probably spend 13 -15 minutes having lunch.If you join someone else you more than double that time causing you to eat more. So don't give up lunching with freinds just be aware of the amount you eat.

Try using a smaller dinner plate to reduce the amount of food at meal times, you won't miss it.

Cutting out all your favourite foods is bad for you, it takes away all your enjoyment and makes you feel a bit deprived and sad. Keep some of your favourite foods just eat less of them.

Put all sweets and goodies on a high shelf out of sight. If you can't see them you won't be tempted.

You cannot have a larger helping of food because the label says it's low fat.

A group of you snacking in front of the telly and when everyone is finished you clear the plates and eat all the leftover cakes, biscuits, crisps
or whatever on your way to and from the kitchen.

When eating out do without the bread roll. Just observe how many people eat their roll and butter as soon as they sit down without realising what they are doing. Put the bread basket out of reach before you sit down.

Never ever go shopping when you are hungry,if you are then definitely don't go any where near one of those chicken spit roasting counters that discharge that delicious aroma half way round the supermarket, eat before you shop,it then won't smell so tempting. Buy only what's on your list.
